Hands-in-Pockets Mathematics at Collège Stanislas
On January 18 and 25, the students in “Quatrième” and “Troisième” at Collège Stanislas in Montreal (a French international school under the AEFE) had the opportunity to attend an hour of “hands-in-pockets mathematics.” Scientists from CRM-CNRS delivered ten-minute flash talks to the students. The goal was to discuss a mathematical topic in a relaxed manner, using minimal written support, and to provide students with ideas for topics for the oral exams of the national brevet and baccalaureate diplomas.
The talks were given by:
- Lucile Devin;
- Didier Lesesvre.
Hosted on long-term delegation by the CNRS at CRM-CNRS, Lucile Devin is an associate professor at Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale.
