Meeting with the Vice-Rector of Université du Québec à Trois Rivières
On Monday, September 22, 2025, the director of CRM-CNRS met with the Vice-Rector for Research and Development of the Université du Québec à Trois Rivières, Sébastien Charles.
The meeting was an opportunity to express the importance of the investment from CNRS and the Fonds de recherche du Québec for Franco-Quebec cooperation in mathematics.
The main tools of this cooperation were presented:
- the hosting at CRM-CNRS of scientists working in France “assigned on delegation” thanks to joint funding from CNRS and the employer of the assigned person;
- the support program for the international laboratory of the Fonds de recherche du Québec in four pillars:
- hosting of mathematicians coming from France,
- long-term research stays in France for CRM members,
- participation in scientific events in France by CRM members,
- research internships for students.
The website presenting all cooperation opportunities in mathematics between France and Canada was introduced.
The CRM-CNRS encourages mathematicians from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières to develop projects with their colleagues in France that could lead to requests for secondment to the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
